Vitamins and Minerals:
Apple juice contains vitamin C, which helps with immunity, and some minerals like potassium.
Hydration:
It has a high water content, so it can contribute to your daily fluid intake.
Apple juice is naturally high in sugar, even more so than whole apples. Consuming too much sugar can lead to weight gain, dental problems, and other health issues.
Less Fiber:
Unlike whole apples, juice doesn't contain fiber, which is important for digestion and gut health.
Moderation is Key:
If you enjoy apple juice, have it in moderation. A small glass (around 120ml) is occasionaly okay.
Whole Fruit is Better:
Eating whole apples is a much better way to get the benefits of apples. You'll get the fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and feel fuller for longer due to the fiber content.
Water:
Water is always the best way to stay hydrated.
Apple Slices with Water:
Instead of juice, have sliced apples with a glass of water. You'll get the sweetness and some of the apple's benefits with less sugar.
Overall, while there can be some upside to apple juice, it's important to be mindful of the sugar content. Moderation is key, and whole fruit is a better choice.
